c.14th Century A.D. An excellent Medieval bronze Dagger scabbard chape found in Yorkshire and from an old Scottish collection. Design somewhat reminiscent of a horses nose with a crescent shaped mouth, two nostrils and an engraved band across the top similar to a horse harness strap.
