c.3000 B.C. An excellently worked and good sized Neolithic Flint fabricator / knife multi-tool from Kent. Very nicely fashioned from an attractive dark grey/brown flint with some remaining cortex on upper surface; bi-facially worked with copius working and re-touching around its edges on both sides forming two functional tips for re-touching and honing other flint tools plus almost denticulated blade edges running down either side which could be readily used for cutting, sawing or scraping, a very versatile tool indeed. Excellent condition with good surfaces and very nice old surface ageing and patination, Ex Cornish private collection, 98mm long x 22mm at widest x 10mm thick.
