Ancient Holy lands (Palestine). Old Testament period c.1200-800 B.C. A large and pleasant early Palestinian terracotta "Dipper cup". A very early hand moulded clay drinking vessel with a bulbous body, out-turned rim and large loop handle. Some traces of Some light surface dirt in places as excavated and a couple of minor chips to rim expertly restored (not detracting) otherwise intact with sound surfaces and in very good condition for its great age. A good sized and appealing example of early domestic pottery from the Old Testament period Holy lands. From a West Country collection. 80mm tall x 80mm wide x 107mm deep (to end of handle).
